Tara got initiated into Kundalini Kriya Yoga on October 15, 2017. After practicing it for many years, Tara experienced the following benefits.

Tara heard many amazing testimonials from the attendees at Master Siddhanath retreats throughout the years. One of them reported that "it is antivirus, antibacterial, anti yeast". Many said that they have found peace and purpose. Others reported healing of physical ailments and etc...

Tara believes that Kundalini Kriya Yoga is an answer to our prayers- for love, peace, healing, and enlightenment.

Join Tara and practice Kriya Yoga to heal ourselves and the world.

*On 7/22/24, the day after GuruPurnima, Shelly was given the name Tara by her beloved Master Yogiraj Siddhanath. Tara means the star in Sanskrit.

Sonia Otero

Treasurer

Sonia met Master Siddhanath for the first time when she attended his New Life Awakening retreat in San Francisco, California in 2010. Since then, Sonia have been practicing Kundalini Kriya Yoga regularly. At the time when she first met Yogiraj, Sonia was facing many mental and emotional difficulties. Sonia found that Kriya Yoga practices are wonderful and amazing, not just for her but for all of humanity.

Sonia has experienced so much healing and peace.  The main purpose of practicing Kundalini Kriya Yoga is to bring Earth peace through self peace. Sonia loves this idea. We all need peace on Earth. Master Siddhanath has developed a simple breathing technique with wonderful benefits suitable for modern people.  Kundalini Kriya Yoga is for all people of any creed, caste or religion.

Pat Wolfe

Board Member

Pat worked as a nurse for 50 plus years and has volunteered as a board member for various nonprofits.

In the course of Pat's career, she attended many classes on self help that had a section on meditation. None of the styles of meditation stuck with her until February of 2019 when she attended the Golden Lotus class at YMCA.  For Pat, the Siddhanath Golden Lotus meditation was simple to practice, easy to focus on breathing and it works.

In July 2019, Pat attended Yogiraj Siddhanath retreat in Southern California and was inspired by his Presence and how he radiates peace. Since then, she has been practicing Kriya Yoga regularly. Pat feels that since she practiced the Siddhanath Golden Lotus and Kriya Yoga regularly, it has brought her a sense of calmness and peace and helps improve her sleep.

Pat would like to encourage everyone to develop the discipline of meditation.

Rufus H. White

Volunteer

Rufus is retired from the technology industry and his current focus is on personal fitness, youth advocacy and spiritual awareness. In retirement Rufus has been a volunteer with groups that focus on and work for the success of the youth of our community. Rufus’ family values and youth experiences in the church, scouting and time with his grandparents and relatives heavily influenced his commitment to serving the community and preparing the youth for a successful adult life.

Rufus started meditation in the mid-1970s when he was trained in Transcendental Meditation (TM) and practiced for many years. He gradually moved away from regularly practicing meditation until he was invited to attend Siddhanath Golden Lotus class early in 2018 at the Unify Event Center in San Jose. He now teaches the Siddhanath Golden Lotus meditation at the East Valley YMCA. He got initiated into Kriya Yoga in April of 2018.

Come and practice the Siddhanath Golden Lotus with Rufus at East Valley YMCA on Mondays & Fridays from 11:15 am - 12:15 pm. No membership required. This event is open to all community members. Just sign in as a guest at the front desk.

Brian Rousseau

Volunteer

After being introduced to Kundalini Kriya Yoga in 2011, Brian fell in love with the practice and grew closer to the community. When Brian attended his first event with Yogiraj, he felt Yogiraj aura of peace that flooded the hall was palpable and purely energizing. It was something he had never experienced before in his life, and it motivated him to continue his practice, realizing that the Kundalini Kriya Yoga lineage is very special.

Brian had the opportunity to attend retreats on the West Coast and the Siddhanath Ashram in India, where his practice and relationships with the Northwest Kriya Yoga community deepened. With the support of the community Brian held practices and workshops in Portland, Oregon since 2014.  But now his energy is directed towards supporting the team at Enlightenment University by teaching online.

Brian leads the Kriya Yoga Group practice on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. He is honored to work with such a dedicated and noble team in the mission of providing Kundalini Kriya Yoga to aspiring souls. Brian would like to inspire others to seek the ultimate truth within.

If you would like to join the Kriya Yoga group practice, email info@enlightenmentu.org for a link to join.
