Som has been practicing Kriya Yoga since 2018 and has attended Yogiraj's retreats in America. She has also gone to Yogiraj Siddhanath Forest Ashram in Pune, India.

Som feel blessed to have found the life-changing technique of Kriya Yoga and Yogiraj Satgurunath Siddhanath. Since practicing, she has experienced karmic benefits and more stability in her spirituality.

Some of her hobbies and interests include taking nature walks, exercising, dieting, and fostering cats.

Sonia Otero

Treasurer

Sonia met Master Siddhanath at the New Life Awakening retreat in San Francisco, California in 2010. Since then, Sonia has been practicing Kundalini Kriya Yoga regularly. At the time when she met Yogiraj, Sonia had many mental and emotional difficulties. Sonia found that Kriya Yoga practices are wonderful and amazing, not just for her but for all of humanity.

Sonia loves this idea of how practicing kriya can spread peace within and without. "Master Siddhanath has developed a simple breathing technique with wonderful benefits suitable for modern people.  Kundalini Kriya Yoga is for all people of any creed, caste or religion."

Pat Wolfe

Board Member

Pat worked as a nurse for 50 plus years and has volunteered as a board member for various nonprofits in the past 30 years.

In the course of Pat's career, she attended many classes on self help that had a section on meditation. None of the styles of meditation stuck with her until February of 2019 when she attended the Golden Lotus class at YMCA. "She likes the Golden Lotus because it is simple to practice, easy to focus on breathing and it works. "

In July 2019, Pat attended Yogiraj Siddhanath retreat in Southern California and was inspired by his Presence and how he radiates peace. Since then, she has been practicing Kriya Yoga regularly. It has brought her a sense of calmness and peace and helps improve her sleep.

Pat would like to encourage everyone to develop the discipline of meditation.

Rufus H. White

Volunteer

Rufus is retired from the technology industry and his current focus is on personal fitness, youth advocacy and spiritual awareness. He volunteers with groups that focus on youth in his local community. Rufus family values and experiences with his church and time with his grandparents and relatives heavily influenced his commitment to serving the community.

Rufus started meditation in the 1970s when he was trained in Transcendental Meditation (TM).  He gradually moved away from regularly practicing meditation until he was invited to attend the Siddhanath Golden Lotus class early in 2018 at the Unify Event Center in San Jose hosted by Tara. He now teaches the Siddhanath Golden Lotus Meditation at East Valley YMCA. He got initiated into Kriya Yoga in April of 2018.

Brian Rousseau

Volunteer

After being introduced to Kundalini Kriya Yoga in 2011, Brian fell in love with the practice and grew closer to the community. When Brian attended his first event with Yogiraj, he felt that Yogiraj's aura of peace flooded the hall. It was palpable and purely energizing. It was something he had never experienced before, and it motivated him to continue his practice. He realized that the Kundalini Kriya Yoga lineage is very special.

Brian attended retreats on the West Coast and the Yogiraj Siddhanath Forest Ashram in India. Brian has been conducting workshops in Portland, Oregon since 2014 but now, Brian leads the Kriya Yoga Group practice on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. He is honored to work with dedicated souls and would like to inspire others to seek the ultimate truth within.
